Is China and its leaders more progressive dealing in with national issues?

then the US is. It seems politicians in the US are dragging their feet on issues that really matter and focus on wedge issues to appease everyone. According to a bunch of reports I see on various news channels, China seems to be addressing the real problems their nation faces and does something about it (overpopulation, going green to cut down polltution, and ect.) Is this for real or a PR campaign to make China look good?

In China, the politicians are engineers, not lawmakers!! So right there you can see the differences! Also, China is a lot about superficiality. It means, that when it address a topic, they go it fast and botchy... They just want to show that they are better, while in fact, legislations take a long time to be done right, and as a matter of fact, Chinese legislations is backward to say the least! Everything must be rewrote, as they are so many mistakes done there...


I got to experience such mistakes by myself while living there, and it was not funny!!


Also China react only when there is a fire somewhere, meaning that they don`t work preemptively to avoid things from happening, they just try to keep everything from collapsing all together! Because they are VERY unstable socially, so they keep the minds of the peoples full with those things to occupy them, while they patch the boat to avoid it from sinking!!

China has a whole host of its own domestic problems that are begining to boil over. They're going to crumble under their own weight!
Reply:They are more progressive all right..... squashing dissent from the party line with an iron fist.





But then...... when one looks at that crowded country of 1.3+ Billion folks, imagine what it would look like if they all could do whatever they want! The more people the more and tighter rules - unfortunately...... to keep the excesses (we see here in the democratic western world) in check.
