Hi, I'm currently working in a remote area of China. Before I moved out here, I dyed my medium brown hair blonde. I was planning on just letting the color grow out while I was here but my roots grew in really dark and I was starting to resemble a skunk. Unfortunately, the only hair dye I could find was either red or black. So, I went to the local salon hoping to come out with a shade of brown. I am now sporting a nice green tint. I don't speak fluent Chinese and the language barrier pretty much prevents me from really communicating my problem. I tried rinsing my hair with tomato juice and it seemed to help a little bit but it still has a green glow. Is there anything else I can do besides wear a ponytail until I get back to America?
Hair dye disaster in China...?
maybe you could get somoen in the states you know to go buy you some hairdye in a better color, i would recomned a medium or dark brown, then maybe they could send it to you?
Reply:if it has a green tint you might need to find a hair dye with a red tint to it to blend up with that green tint
Reply:Why worry about that ,it would matter more to you here than there.
Reply:You need to go and get a color that is close to the brown color you want but has red in it. you need to put back in the color that you took out when you lightened it.But try if you can't find a brown color with red then buy the red and a brown color and add a little red in to it. other than that i don't know what to say but good luck.
Reply:take a picture with you to the salon. find a pic of the color you want, and tell them as best you can, that this is the color you would like to be. hope it works out.
Reply:i would just color your whole hair your natural color.
