And please don't give us all that Kyoto global warming treaty crap. We know China wouldn't sign it yet China is second in producing green house gasses and will surpass the US in 10 years. Yet, Al Gore publically states thats OK for China, because they are a developig nation. So go ahead, destroy the planet, thats OK?
Environmentalists, why the free pass for China?
As I said to your previous post, I'm not aware of anyone having given China a free pass... even Al Gore, contrary to your post.
Reply:Because China will tell them to go pound sand and that will be the end of it. What are they going to do? Do a march in Beijing? LOL
Reply:I don't think they get a free pass. But also, they do produce far less pollution per capita then the US, and they have stricter EPA standards. It's kind of hard for the #1 polluter to say the #2 polluter should stop. We need to get ALL countries to start reducing waste and pollution.
Reply:What if they got mad and closed all the Wallmarts.
We need to be kind to China so they won't hurt us.
Go big Red Go
Reply:China is part of the G-77. It's being addressed currently. Do your research.
Reply:That's actually a good question. I hope from the negativity of your question, you will try to listen.
First off, no one is giving them a free pass that I know of. What we are doing is giving them credit for trying... I just watched a show on PBS concerning this exact subject a few days ago. And you are exactly right about their growing pollution. What it appears you are not aware of is they are working on new forms of greenhouse submission control about 100 to 1 faster compared to us.
While I agree that they should not be given a pass because they are helping our economy, I do have to give them credit for working to fix the issue faster than we are. We are still 'talking' about fixes while they are actually beginning to implement fixes.
Reply:Hom many times do you need to ask this? See my answer on the other one.
