Young, Married, and with help with decorating our room !?

When I was by myself I had my room very girly and well now I cant really do that since I'm married. So I want some ideas for our room. I still want it to be young I' m not even 20. So can I get some suggestions or pictures from bethrooms so I can get an idea.

Having a male in the house does mean decorating should include him as well, nice to see you thought of this!


I would darken the light to a little darker brown (something a little rich/earthy-ralph lauren)..add some mid green bed linens and some rich brown leather objects.. this looks sleek and sophisiticated...


the other color you can add to this is cream or coral...blue..


You would only need 1 or 2 cans of paint, tops and then scour the on sale sections at the shops..Target usually has good sales..


the hubby will be impressed you are economical and smart!!!(which you are and still love to impress the man!!)


You can always make the rest of the house a little bit more feminine but the living room and bedroom and main bath ought to be thoughtful of the male.. they can become crabby and need to feel comfy @ home (their castle right? lol)

Reply:Watch HGTV. They have great shows with great ideas that can get you thinking of things that will work for you. You can usually get ideas for inexpensive room makeovers too. They also have a website with ideas.





Also Ikea's website and catalog has great ideas. Ikea is great for organization, modern, inexpensive, and creativity.





Do what works for you... Brown and Green are great together and are not too girly. Find something you like with those colors (rug, drapes, bedspread or picture) and go from there adding additional colors that my be in that item.

This bedding Is beautiful and young!


Just put your mattress on a box spring for a new look, With a pretty bed skirt.


The bedding Is The most Expensive part But ever so nice.


Get Some through pillows, From sears or where ever.


Bench for the end of the bed,


Make Sure your bed Is not facing Out the door, Its Bad Chii.

Reply:paint the room and make everything simple. Get rid of clutter. I'm a big fan of modern, classic, chic things. I think a bedroom should be relaxing and soothing.
