I EFILE MY TAX RETURN SEVERAL TIMES ALL GOT REJECTED BECAUSE FORM 2555, MY HUSBAND HAS GREEN CARD AND WORKS IN CHINA, FOR LINE 18 I FILL OUT THE DATES HE STAYED IN US, I GOT ADVICE THAT I SHOULD DELETE IT, AND LINE 17 I SHOULD FILL OUT "CHINA " OR "US"?

Without knowing what program you use, I cannot comment more on it (although I deal with at least 10 form 2555 clients each year).





However, I can give you a honest advice:





Mail in the return ASAP!





You may encounter several issues with Efile the return when you got 2555. When my client have 2555 and EIC, that means mail in return.





In my clients cases, 100% of the time line 17 are non-US (foreign nation).





You will need to count if the number of "full day" add up to 365 days.
