Is it safe to give tea to children once in a while?

Like if they have a cold or something? I know that in China and Japan children drink green tea, don't they?

Is it safe to give tea to children once in a while?
actually, they say now that instead of using a.d.d medication, a nice cup of espresso will have the same effect on kids, without the cost, or the chemicals in your childs system. I had tea every morning before school with toast or bread and jam, and my i.q is very high, I'm a writer, a musician, and a chef, and artist so don't go by my word --but it certainly didn't hurt me.
Reply:I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to . Make sure it is decaffeinated. Otherwise, they will be bouncing off of the walls.
Reply:Probably not green tea since it messes with your metabolism and has tons of caffeine. But I don't see any harm in decaffeinated tea in small amounts every now and then.
Reply:yes it is okay even if they drink tea each day that is okay i recomend chammomile tea
Reply:yea its good if they drink tea but they may not like the flavor

Reply:yes its okay ..even in germany infants drinks tea in their bottle..!
Reply:I say so, in moderation. It beats giving them soda pop. Green tea is a wonderful drink, I drink it a lot. The green tea I use does not have a real high caffeine content.
